As an Internet Engineer I am not only responsible for my own work, but the code in my machine represents an intrinsic value to my customers as well. Sometimes that work cannot be evaluated in money or time.

As my development machine crashed with a raid hardware failure at the motherboard and disk simultaneously, I reminded myself why I spent so much money not only in back but in having the ability to recover %100 of my work eventually.

I consider the investment to be part of the package when someone hires me. It’s professionalism at it’s core. If you are handling code that represents the lively-hood of your customer a raid setup is a must.
